Always wanted to tell Miki how dreamy his eyes are but too shy to do it in person? Let it all out! Please keep in mind yiras shamayim, kavod ha’brios, dan l'kav zchus, v'ahavta l'rayacha kamocha, ba'al tashchis, etc.

Also due to nobody being around next weekend, the dining hall will be closed for Shabbos. So if you’ll be staying, sign up here and whoever’s around can try to put a minyan/a meal. You wouldn't want to end up like these guys ::

Assassins Updates
Killing Highlights
1)Last night, at 10:30pm I received a phonecall from an unidentified number. I answered the phone. "Hi Miki, this is Ken Grcich [Rodin House Dean]." the voice said. He told me that he recently received a complaint from a resident about the prayer services we host every night in Rodin. He requested that I come to his office to resolve the issue.

I called the two Gabbaim, notifying them of the situation. Samy was in Rodin at the time, and he offered to come down with me.

On the way down we speculated what the minyan may have done to offend someone. Could it be all the noise we make in the hallways after davening. Perhaps it was the impromptu maariv we had on in the music lounge on the first floor. We would soon find out...

When we got down to the office we were greeted by a number of GA's doing what appeared to be administrative work. We started walking towards Ken's office.

"Wait!" one of the GA's called out.
"Ken said he was expecting one person to come down, not two."

It was me that Ken called, so it made sense that I would go in first. I told Samy that I would go in, make sure it was ok that he come too, and then Samy would join us.

I walked down the narrow hallway to Ken's office, passed through the doorway, turned towards his desk and saw Ariella Rosenberg sitting there with a gun.
"Bang Bang, you're dead." she said quietly. Colonel Mustard was defeated.

2) So my second assignment was to kill Reuven. I found out that he messed up his kill of Sarah earlier so I struck a deal with Sarah that if she helped me setup Reuven I would let her live until the next round. So Sarah texts Reuven to meet her in the 8th floor common room of Rodin and instead of her being there the plan was for me to be there waiting. Reuven was suspicious though and decided he needed an escort. On a side note, my roommate Shimon came with me to Rodin to attempt to kill Levi. Shimon was hanging around in the common room of Reuven's floor and Reuven by luck asked Shimon to be his body guard. Since I have an alliance with Shimon, Shimon smoothly slipped away when they got up to the 8th floor and I was able to kill Reuven.

3) As shiur was about to start, Rav Mordy asked Yosef to go get him sheets from his office. Yosef was a bit reluctant to go alone but the Rabbi was asking him so what could he do? When he got to Rav Mordy's office Chana (his arch nemesis from already 2 disputed killings) was waiting there. You can't even trust the Rabbi.

Also,
to all who are hosting prefrosh in their homes or are eating with them at a meal, we cannot thank you enough.  Our ability to absorb 62 prefrosh in one weekend on short notice is a wonderful testament to the culture of hachnasat orchim (welcoming of guests) that exists in our community.

Rav Mordy's Shabbos Shuva Drasha:
Traditionally, on the Shabbat before Yom Kippur, the Rabbi gives a very important speech.
this year's topic is-

"Sorry": It's More than just a Game:
Finding a Way to Ask for Forgiveness: the Difficulty, Importance, and Obligation.
With that many colons in one title, it's gotta be good.

7 - "T, T, and T remove the evil of the decree"
Yom Kippur is almost here, and it’s a great time to give tzedakah! The money OCP collects will be donated to the Hospice of the Upper Galilee, whose mission is to care for patients in the Galilee panhandle and northern Golan Heights who suffer from advanced cancer, and provide support to their families and caregivers. This organization is the first to provide palliative care to patients in the Upper Galilee, who previously didn’t have access to these public services in Israel’s metropolitan areas.
You can leave your donations in the tzedakah box in the third floor beit midrash, or you can give them to Pamela Kaplan or Jessie Wolfe directly.
